Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu is a leading expert in cross- border financial advisory services and an active philanthropist with over 25 years of experience in international investment banking.
As President of Woodhall Capital International, she has established herself in Global markets, with offices across London, Dubai, Lagos, and Abuja.
Her career spans major international financial centres, from London’s financial district to emerging markets across Africa and the Middle East. Through her leadership, she has built bridges between international capital markets and developing economies, facilitating over $5 billion in funding for governments, corporations, and financial institutions across multiple continents.
Mojisola’s career in investment banking began in the City of London, where she developed expertise in risk management and structured finance at leading global institutions including Credit
Lyonnais, Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Bank. This foundation provided her with a comprehensive understanding of international capital markets and complex cross-border transactions.
Moving to Nigeria in 2008 proved transformative for her career, setting the stage for the establishment of Woodhall Capital in 2014 , A financial advisory firm that specialises in raising international funding for government agencies, large corporates, financial institutions, and sovereigns.
Under her leadership, Woodhall Capital has successfully raised over $5 billion and expanded across the United Kingdom, United
Arab Emirates, and Nigeria. The firm’s consistent client retention rate reflects a commitment to professional excellence and integrity. Moreover, such expansion into a multi-jurisdictional operation demonstrates our growing influence in connecting international investors with emerging market opportunities.
Beyond traditional advisory services, Mojisola drives empowerment and sustainable development through the Woodhall Capital Foundation, with particular emphasis on supporting women and underserved communities. She co launched the Design Den initiative with Titi Ogufere, founder of Design Week Lagos – a programme providing financing, mentorship, and market access to designers, makers, and manufacturers within Nigeria’s design industry.
As a sought-after speaker and panelist at international conferences, Mojisola shares insights on emerging market finance, including factoring markets at the 2023 Afreximbank Trade Finance Seminar and career development for women on platforms such as “DANG Conversations” with Ifedayo Agoro.
Together, these diverse initiatives embody the same commitment at the heart of Woodhall Capital — leveraging financial expertise and cross sector collaboration to drive growth and inclusion across emerging markets.
As of 2025, Mojisola remains at the helm of Woodhall Capital, advancing its mission to bridge funding gaps for institutions across emerging markets while championing sustainable development.
Her contributions to the design industry and her active presence as a public speaker further amplify her influence as a visionary leader and advocate for women in business.
Mojisola has spoken candidly about the challenges of balancing ambition with personal life, advocating for authenticity and the importance of prioritising purpose over the relentless “hustle mentality.”
She believes success can be achieved without sacrificing well-being.
Reflecting on her cultural roots, she has credited her father, Justice Solomon Olusola Hunponu-Wusu, for inspiring her sense of style, highlighting a close family bond and cultural grounding that continues to shape her identity.
